Wow, it’s been just over a month since our last catch up. Want to join me on a little journey and see what’s been going on over the last few weeks? Yeah, you do. But before we buckle up and get into it, how about a little tune…
Above, right there… that’s a band I’ve come to call my favourite after twenty plus years of heavy metal enjoyment. These guys are relatively new. They are The Browning. A culmination of dark electro, heavily distorted guitars, a monumental beast of rhythm and a guttural voice of demonic expression. It’s beautiful, chaotic and energetic. Get on ’em!
So, what’s new in my hood? Lots. I’m surprised that 365 days of getting it done in the continually improving arena has achieved so much for this metal loving, gym attending and giver of positive energy. I have rose from the depths of negativity and risen like a phoenix. Yes, my friends, that is how you get it done!
It wasn’t really the depths of negativity. Wait. No. It was.
As much as I’ve blogged about living a positive lifestyle, man, I just wasn’t congruent. The message was phat but walking the walk of all the talk just didn’t match up.
Life was less than favourable. Working in a job I tried to convince myself I was passionate about and a desire to believe that I enjoyed working with the people I did. I didn’t…
Based on that output to the universe, my time with that particular role was limited – by my thoughts. The outcome was my doing. No one else. When I was told that my contract wouldn’t be revised, I wasn’t surprised to be advised of my demise.
It was time to take a step back and think of precisely wanted I wanted from my next role. To be challenged, to become the industry expert in the online space in Australia and work with a team of dedicated professional who continually improve their station in life. Guess what? I go it!
The last two weeks have been more inspiring, energetic and mind-blowing than I could have ever expected. And this is why:
It’s not the company. It’s not the people. It’s the belief and purpose I have within myself. I am dedicated to a certain outcome and for the first time in my life I am dedicated to being more than I possibly thought possible.
Once you make up your mind to go above and beyond your limitations, there is an intrinsic drive that propels your very being forward – life becomes a quantum journey of endless possibilities. Believe!
If you want more from life, then it’s pretty simple. Make up your mind and just go for it. Go full tilt! Anything less and it’s just not the same. You’ll end up feeling like this when you’re at it full tilt – and it’s a beautiful thing! Just as Jim.
