Someone told me today to “simplify my life”. At first the notion repelled me. Why slow down?
Then as the course of the day has come and gone, the notion has stuck with me. And I’ve come to this conclusion… love and marriage, go together like a… kidding.
There is an opportunity to simplify my life. Not with the stuff I’m doing but with the stuff I’m thinking. Yes – stuff. It means whatever I do during any day of my existence.
Instead of thinking a bizillion thoughts on stuff that’s never going to happen, why not focus on the stuff that is happening and make it happen better. And instead of announcing a bizillion dreams, focus on the goals that are already in play or are realistic enough and stuff that we want to pursue. Not some pie in the sky, feel good, come again type of follow the whim fluff of air. Stuff that matters. Focusing on that is simplifying – and amplifying – yep, that thought has got me buzzing man!
By the way, did I mention that my gal, 2 dogs and I are moving to New York in three short years. Okay, I promise not to mention that again for at least… a day or two.
