Keeping the Google Jedi dream alive with 365 days of getting it done

Keeping the Google Jedi dream alive with 365 days of getting it done is the catalyst of excitement for me today. On a Sunday too! Sometimes you’ve got to wake up with a dream and chase it down! Know what I mean? When there’s an overwhelming desire to step up to the plate and take the team home to victory, then you have to start swinging at some point.

But it wouldn’t be a 365 days of getting it done post without a tune. Something with a bit of energy and straying away from the normal metal clips. Welcome Prodigy and “Firestarter” – cause that’s what I’m doing today. Adding fuel to the flames! KA-POW!

The live version of the song has an energy that just isn’t captured on the album. And it probably doesn’t help that I’ve had two coffees this morning. I’m the self inflicted, mind detonator!

Anyway, back to being a Google Jedi. Man! I went down the rabbit hole yesterday and looked into the back-end of a friend’s website. Wow! I felt like Luke in Star Wars IV. Knowing that the a Google Jedi is what I want to be is one thing. Getting off Tatooine  is going to take more than two droids, an old bloke and light sabre.

I’m only eight months into eSEO (search engine optimisation) land and have come to realise I really know nothing. To say I’m an expert would only be pulling the wool over your eyes.

Thanks to Daily Dawdle for the cool pic below.

Wool over sheep eyes

By the way, my friend is Kellie. A fitness business coach – helps PT’s and the like effectively market themselves and increase revenue. If you’re into that kind of thing, check out PT Business Success. Kellie helped me grow my old PT business (Kaizen Outdoors) a few years ago – highly recommend her!

We were talking about Google Jedi, right? So eight months in and I am merely an apprentice compared to the SEO Masters that have been around since the internet began. But I love that! It means I’m continually improving my knowledge, mindset (towards SEO) and implementation of new information. A Google Jedi doesn’t pull wool over anyone’s eyes because there are no sheep on Tatooine.

It’s funny because back in school, the only thing that got me excited when going to class were fitness, art and computers. Math frustrated and bored me. English wasn’t catered towards my kind of language – I didn’t want to learn how the English used to speak. Let’s move forward! And science scared the shit out of me with bunsen burners setting science labs alight.

Yet here I am, in my youthfulness at 40 and engaging in stuff that gets me pumped about learning! Maybe it’s because it also effects my financial future too. Money is exactly like air. Trying living with out it for a while.

Either way, I’m having a ball. Whether chatting with you here, getting across the social channels or learning about whatever, I’m having fun doing it. Makes me feel a little like this…
