Day 80 of 365 days of getting it done – keep pushing

Keep pushing! That’s the motto of 365 days of getting it done on day 80.

Whether it’s smashing it out at the gym, putting in some extra work time (to get ahead, not to catch up) or going that extra step to make ends meet – if you keep pushing, something has to give sooner or later.

365 days of getting it done

I can’t find an inspirational picture at the moment so you get a random one from my Flickr page instead.

In the past week or two, things have continued to be on the up and up. Like the gym for example. I like to lift as heavy as I humanly can. It seemed only a few weeks back that things had plateaued and the lifts just weren’t getting any bigger.

I changed my program and still nothing. Then last week the numbers started lifting again (no pun intended) and have actually PB’d on a few exercises. That’s just what you do with 365 days of getting it done. And I’ll be honest, there were times before the increases that I thought about my whole program and attitude to lifting. Why continue on the same path when it seemed like I couldn’t lift anymore?

But the breakthroughs started to occur. 365 days of getting it done level upped again! And like I said, across a few facets of my life.

It comes down to pushing through when you’re not necessarily excited about the task ahead. Though it’s usually in those moments that the breakthroughs occur.

But it doesn’t stop there. Not when you’re 365 days of getting it done! It just means that a new level has been attained. Time to master a new set of skills before moving on to the next level. And so the game of life continues.

Pushing through can make or break a moment. Next time you’re in the heat of it and feel like taking the foot off the pedal, keep pushing!

Maybe this song will help…
