Day 61 of 365 days of getting it done – determined

Group 2

Determined on day 61 of  365 days of getting it done! That’s my group of three that I’m now Personal Training twice a week. That’s not the determined part. The determined part came 40 minutes before training.

I went to the shops to get the group water for their training. It’s what I do. As I got out of the car and started walking towards the shop, I heard a loud hissing noise coming from the front left tire. Just like the air escaping from the tire, so was my enthusiasm to get to training because of it.

Then something snapped inside. That little voice inside said GET IT DONE! Just because I got a flat was not an excuse to not turn up and fulfil my Personal Training duties. And they kinda paid for the way I was feeling. (By the way, the group, which includes my gorgeous girlfriend – they almost redefined the definition of determined… they smashed it!

Making a promise to oneself is easy to break. Making a promise to a group of people is something else. And I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve broken too many promises over the years. NO MORE!

I’m so freaking determined to make everything I’ve been building on in the last 61 days a habit. What’s the point otherwise?

Even last night, a great mate of mine started a bit of banter over facebook about being determined to smash out a big training session today. Just in the words he used he was determined! That in turn made me fire up for a big squat session at the gym today… and it hurt.

So next time that little voice goes off in your head, think about how determined you are to get it done!

This one is for all the nerds out there – a very determined Fozzy Bear!
