Learning on day 55 of 365 days of getting it done is like photography.
You can’t just take one picture and think you know it all. Since I started using Flickr, I’ve taken 206 photos. I am not a professional and know that it will take years of photographing life to become one.
It’s the same with learning. You can’t read one article, listen to one podcast or attend one seminar and think you know it all. Learning is something to be attached to for life.
I’m in the early development stages of my career with the online space. Much akin to an apprenticeship. If I want to be the best in the field then I need to be continually learning and keeping up with the latest and greatest that occurs in the nerd world. Therefore I trawl the net daily. It’s what I do as the Guru of SEO in Melbourne.
Then there are the other projects that I’m involved in. Each of those takes time to learn and develop. Just because you think you know it all, doesn’t mean that there’s another way that might be a little better, have a fresher approach or be something you’ve never thought of before. Be open to learning!
